Empowering Advanced Materials Research and Additive Manufacturing Education

The Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) integrated our industrial-grade 3D printer into its engineering laboratories to advance two core initiatives: new-material R&D and hands-on 3D printing training for students and researchers.

The large-format build volume and stable extrusion system enabled the USU team to test a wide range of experimental polymer and composite formulations, while the intuitive workflow made the machine equally effective in the classroom. Faculty reported faster iteration cycles on material samples and stronger student engagement in digital fabrication courses.

"The printer gave our lab the flexibility to move from material trials to teaching within the same week. It has become a shared resource across multiple departments." — USU Engineering Faculty
